Always pop the bottom hinge first. If you do the top one , the door drops and can make getting to the bottom one more difficult.

Try using your ram at a more shallow angle with the heel of it in the curve of the bottom of the B post, it will give you better push on the dash and is less likely to slip out of place which may let the dash fall back quickly.

As a first due machine with 3 man crew (officer, driver, FF), with the rescue tools. What combination of tools do you recommend coming off the truck first. We’ve traditionally gone with FF-spreaders & step chalk, and Officer-cutters & step chalk. But with techniques such as the Texas 2 step, I’m increasingly seeing the benefit of having the ram quickly. So, maybe spreader/step chalk & cutters/ram. What do y’all think? Anything else that makes more sense?

Never cut everything in one cut, that has the potential to short the battery positive to negative through the cutters.

So say you don’t have an air chisel available and only have a recip saw to complement the jaws, but can’t use the recip for whatever reason, could you still achieve the same end result but slightly angling the cutters on the initial cuts on the rocker panels then applying the spreaders?

I really want to try my hand with these spreaders.
